Welcome to Air ... you can fly!

AIR opened on 16th March 2002 as a flying roller coaster! The Ride coast £12 million to make. It is situated in Forbidden Valley along with Nemesis which opened in 1994!
In 2000 Alton Towers were granted permission to build the new Roller Coaster and throughout 2001 work was been done. The ride was manufactured by B&M who come from Switzerland.
Air was not like any other ride in Forbidden Valley it was themed totally different. Nemesis, Blade Ripsaw and Dynamo are totally different, as they are made to look rusty dirty and Horrible! Where as Air is calm and there are plants and the track is a turquiose colour.
The Air trains can hold 4 people each and per train which there are 7. Safety is at its max and so there is a large padded vest which also has to bars attached. Also your feat a locked by flaps so that they cannot go anywhere! Then a few seconds later the train is swung back 90 degrees. Now you are facing the floor! The lights change to blue and a voice says ASSUME THE POSITION. NOW FLY, and your off.
